Newborn photography is one of the most technically demanding and emotionally rewarding genres of photography. Those tiny fingers, perfect yawns, and peaceful sleeping poses exist only for a few weeks — capturing them properly requires experience, patience, and a deep commitment to your baby's safety.

When to Book a Newborn Photography Session

The ideal window for newborn photography is 5 to 14 days after birth. During this period, babies sleep deeply, can be gently posed in curled positions, and haven't yet developed the startle reflex that makes sleeping poses difficult. We strongly recommend booking before your due date to secure your preferred slot.

How Long Does a Newborn Session Take?

A typical newborn session at our Studio 360 studio in Anna Nagar runs 2 to 3 hours. This includes time for feeding, settling, soothing, and gentle pose transitions. We never rush a newborn session — your baby sets the pace.

Safety First — Our Approach

Every pose in a newborn photography session must be safe. Composite poses (like the "froggy" pose where the baby appears to rest their chin on their hands) are carefully created in multiple shots and composited in editing — the baby is always fully supported. We follow strict hygiene protocols and maintain a warm studio temperature (around 28°C) for your baby's comfort.

What to Bring / Wear

• Parents: Neutral, simple clothing — white, cream, grey, or navy. Avoid busy prints. You'll be photographed holding your baby, so comfort matters.
• Baby: We provide all wraps, props, headbands, and outfits. Just bring your baby freshly fed and sleepy!
• Siblings: We include sibling portraits at the start of the session while energy is highest.

How Many Photos Will I Receive?

A standard newborn session delivers 40 to 60 fully edited images in digital format, available within 2 weeks of your session. Premium packages include a printed mini album.
